Problem
Dream Cones faced a hurdle in expanding beyond its local origins, evolving from a home-based venture to a small shop in Ottawa with unique ice cream offerings tailored to different moods. The additional challenge lay in the absence of an online presence, impeding the effective spread of its name and story to a broader audience.
Persona Development
The problem Dream Cones faced was the need to expand its business beyond its local roots. While it had successfully grown from a home-based side hustle to a small shop, Dream Cones realized that its unique ice cream offerings each tailored to different personalities and moods had the potential to reach a broader audience. The challenge was getting the name and story out to a wider market.



Competition Analysis
Through thorough research, identifying gaps in the market and found ways to differentiate Dream Cones from its competitors. Understanding what others were offering allowed for positioning the brand uniquely.

Low-Fi Wireframes
Following the initial stages of persona development and competition analysis, the next step in the methodology involved the creation of low-fi wireframes for Dream Cones. These preliminary wireframes served as a skeletal representation of the website's layout and structure, allowing for a rapid exploration of design concepts. With a focus on simplicity and functionality, the low-fi wireframes provided a basic framework for key elements such as navigation, content placement, and overall user experience.

Hi-fi Wireframes
Designed the website through hi-fi wireframes, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing online platform. The website became a virtual storefront that would showcase Dream Cones' story, flavors, and personality.

Outcome
The outcome of this project was a strategic and visually engaging website for Dream Cones. By leveraging the created personas, conducting a competition analysis, and employing sketching techniques, I was able to showcase the brand's uniqueness effectively. And the hi-fi wireframes translated this into an interactive online space.
The revamped Dream Cones website achieves a dual purpose by narrating the brand's journey, fostering a personal connection with customers, and introducing a streamlined online ordering system that transcends geographical boundaries. This strategic shift not only overcomes initial limitations in reach but also opens up a new revenue stream.
